How Does Religion Effect Modern Romantic Interpersonal Relationships? FOR KIM WOODS ONLY

Topic: How Does Religion Effect Modern Romantic Interpersonal Relationships?

NOTE: THIS TOPIC MUST BE RESEARCHED THROUGH INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, CONFLICT THEORY.

Conflict theory

Many interpersonal communication scholars have sought to define and understand interpersonal conflict. As a result, there are numerous definitions of conflict available. Although these varying perspectives highlight something unique about interpersonal conflict, they also cause some confusion. This has resulted in difficulty in establishing uniform methods of operationalization for those who use social scientific (quantitative) methods of analysis. This means that it is difficult to generalize findings across studies.

According to Barcki and Harwick (2004), who consolidated several definitions across the discipline, conflict can be defined as “a dynamic process that occurs between interdependent parties as they experience negative emotional reactions to perceived disagreements and interference with the attainment of their goals” (p. 234). With this definition, conflict has three properties:

1  disagreement

2  negative emotion

3  interference

The disagreement property demonstrates the element of perception in conflict. The negative emotion component demonstrates the affect characteristic. The behavioral element demonstrates the interference characteristic of conflict. Within this definition, conflict can be focused on task or relational issues. Task issues involve events, plans, behaviors, etc. Relational conflict involves dispute over personal issues, attitudes, values, beliefs, behaviors, relationship status, etc.

M5: Assignment 1: LASA 2— Corporate Compliance

Assignment 1: LASA 2— Corporate Compliance

You are a corporate compliance officer for a hospital.  You are also a feature writer for The Medical Reporter, an online health magazine.  The editor asks you to write an 8-10 page feature story about the steps you should take when fraud and abuse cases are reported to a facility. This is very timely as you recently received a call on your “hotline” regarding a potential fraud and abuse issue.  The caller indicated that Dr. Greedy was billing for services that had not been provided.  You are in danger of losing reimbursement for Medicare and Medicaid programs if this behavior is not stopped.   Your feature should address the ethical and moral components that healthcare providers and healthcare facilities face with fraud and abuse issues.  Your research should include the following aspects:

       I.            How to conduct an investigation.  It should include the following elements:

                             a.            Reviewing the initial complaint: What are the items you should look for in a compliant to determine validity?

                             b.            Notifying the appropriate upper management of the complaint unless they are implicated in the complaint: What are the steps to take to determine who is involved?

                              c.            Obtaining additional information as necessary and developing a plan for the investigation:  What other items are important to the investigation?

                             d.            Conducting interviews with staff, residents and/or management: Delineate the types of questions to ask in the interview.

                              e.            Determining if the allegations are substantiated or unsubstantiated: Identify criteria to determine if substantiated or unsubstantiated.

II.            How to develop a correction action plan. The plan may suggest:

                             a.            A recommendation for a subsequent audit or follow-up to the complaint and determination of when this is necessary.

                             b.            A recommendation to refund any overpayments to federal government, insurance company or individual payer and when that may be the best course of action.

Campus Painters offers house-painting services by hiring (attachment)

1. Campus Painters offers house-painting services by hiring college students to paint during their breaks between semesters. Malachai started the business when he was in college and now he owns and manages the small service-oriented business by providing price quotes, hiring student painters, purchasing supplies, and advertising their services. He currently employs 22 painters and pays them $10.50 per hour for painting and “prep-work” (scraping old paint, caulking, cleaning and removing bugs from the areas that are to be painted). In order to be profitable, Malachai has learned to provide superior service to his customers, including free price quotes. He builds in his profit-margin of 25% to all quotes by first computing his total costs, then adding 25% of that number to determine how much to charge the customer. Using his knowledge of the expenses for labor, supplies, and equipment, he has developed the following information: – 1 gallon of paint will cover approximately 400 square feet – For every 2 gallons of paint for a wall, you need 1 gallon of paint for the trim – Malachai has a deal with the local paint store and can get any paint he wants for $25 per gallon [Note: Malachai cannot purchase ½ a gallon of paint.] – Every job requires 5 tubes of caulk ($3 each) and 5 clean paint brushes ($4.50 each) – Malachai finds that a painter can apply a gallon of paint in about 8 hours a. (5 points) Martin just finished working on a job in which he spent 6 hours on Monday doing prep-work and 8.5 hours on Wednesday painting. How much money does Malachai owe him? b. (5 points) The Marks family needs to get the outside of their house painted, including the siding as well as the white trim. Malachai estimates that area of the exterior of the house is about 8,000 square feet. Based on the condition of the Marks’ house he also estimates that he will need 2 workers for 8 hours to do the prep-work. How much should Malachai quote for the cost of this job, including labor, supplies, and profit?

  1. (5 points)  Write a formula reflecting the price estimate for a house based on the number of square feet  that need to be painted.  Assume that Malachai can accurately estimate the painted area (in square feet) and the amount of time it takes to complete the prep-work on a job.

2.LaToya Smith is a buyer for a large manufacturing company . She can purchase 200 pounds of chemicals for $95. She can also purchase mixing vats for $400 each. Sales taxon all products is 6% of the total cost of the order. Shipping costs for her order will be a flat $30.

a.At this same rate, how much would 4,000 pounds of chemicals cost?

b.This month she doesn’t know yet how many mixing vats she will need to order. Let y = number of mixing vats required. Write an equation using y that she can use to determine the total amount of her order.

Literary Analysis Essay revised draft paper

the clip that I chose is “

Hello Out There [U.S.]                        ,,,,and the secondary TXT is

“love is more thicker than forget” by e.e. cummings – poem .pdf   [U.S.]

its the final draft revised

The long essay you will write for the class will be a literary analysis paper focused on one play of your choice. This original idea will be developed by drawing on a secondary text of your choice.

WHAT NEED TO BE RVISED IS “MLA FORMAT

You have some minor formatting issues, which might be the fault of your computer (titles should appear in italics, for example, and not in brackets). But the MLA heading on page 1 looks good. You do not need to identify the categories of information. Instead of typing “Name: ” and then having your name, for example, you should just list your name.

THESIS

Your first paragraph offers interesting information, but there is a problem here: you cite another writer (Balakian), and you tell the reader what Balakian thinks, but you do not tell the reader what YOU think. You can agree with Balakian, but you are not allowed to merely agree–you must add something to the discussion. Otherwise there is no point in writing the paper. So think about what it is you wish to say that Balakian has not yet said about the play, and make that new idea clear to the reader.

At the end of the first page you raise an interesting question: What prevents love between people in society? This is a good question. You are now responsible for giving the reader your thoughts as you attempt to answer this question yourself.

You must track the progression of your own thought process, or else the reader will not be able to do that for you.

At the bottom of page two going into page three, you mention lonliness but do not explain how lonliness connects to the idea of preventing love. Then you talk about money. Still there is no explanation of how money prevents people from loving each other, or what money has to do with the idea of loneliness.

You seem to suggest by the end of the paper that desire for money, or the feeling that money will fix our problems, is the cause of us not loving one another, but you need to walk yourself through what that process actually is in order to explain it clearly to the reader.”

And its not complate 5 pages if you can add on it to be 5 complate pages and FINALLY THIS

Here are the citations you need for your essays. Please copy and paste the citations you are using into your Works Cited page.

Assignment 3 Cultural Activity Report

Cultural Activity Report

As a way of experiencing the Humanities beyond your classroom, computer, and textbook, you are asked to do a certain type of “cultural activity” that fits well with our course and then report on your experience.   Your instructor will require you to propose an activity and get instructor approval before you do it and report on it (students should look for any instructions in that respect). Every effort should be made to ensure that this is a hands-on experience (not a virtual one), that this activity fits the HUM 112 class well, and that the activity is of sufficient quality for this university course. The two (2) key types of activities are a museum visit or a performance.

  1. Visit a museum or gallery exhibition or attend a theater, dance, or musical performance before the end of Week 10. The activity (museum or performance) should have content that fits our course well. Have fun doing this.
  2. Write a two to three (2-3) page report (500-750 words) that describes your experience.

    • Clearly identify the event location, date attended, the attendees, and your initial reaction upon arriving at the event.
    • Provide specific information and a description of at least two (2) pieces.
    • Provide a summary of the event and describe your overall reaction after attending the event.
    • Use at least the class text as a reference (additional sources are fine, not necessary unless required by your content). Your report should include connections you make between things observed in your activity and things learned in the course and text.

Visiting a Museum

  • It makes sense to approach a museum the way a seasoned traveler approaches visiting a city for the first time. Find out what is available to see. In the museum, find out what sort of exhibitions are currently housed in the museum and start with the exhibits that interest you.
  • If there is a travelling exhibition, it’s always a good idea to see it while you have the chance. Then, if you have time, you can look at other things in the museum.
  • Every effort should be made ahead of time to identify a museum that has items and works one can easily connect to our HUM 112 class and book. Since HUM 112 covers from 1600 AD to the present, it makes more sense to focus on items from this time frame. In general, museums with fine arts work better than history museums.
  • Any questions about whether a museum-visit activity fits the course and assignment well enough will be decided by the instructor when the student seeks approval for the activity. Any alternative activity outside the normal ones listed here, such as for those limited by disability or distance, will be determined by the instructor. Normally, we do not expect students to travel over an hour to get to an approved activity.
  • Make notes as you go through the museum and accept any handouts or pamphlets that the museum staff gives you. While you should not quote anything from the printed material when you do your report, the handouts may help to refresh your memory later.
  • The quality of your experience is not measured by the amount of time you spend in the galleries or the number of works of art that you actually see. The most rewarding experiences can come from finding two or three (2 or 3) pieces of art or exhibits which intrigue you and then considering those works in leisurely contemplation. Most museums have benches where you can sit and study a particular piece.
  • If you are having a difficult time deciding which pieces to write about, ask yourself these questions: (1) If the museum you are visiting suddenly caught fire, which two (2) pieces of art or exhibits would you most want to see saved from the fire? (2) Why would you choose those two (2) particular pieces?

For Alpha Grades Only

This is the assignment:

Imagine yourself as just being appointed the Chief Patient Experience Officer of your hospital. You have been charged by the board and CEO of the hospital to create a new systems approach for the hospital that will meet the patient’s needs, priorities and expectations in a manner that exemplifies the values of respect, compassion, justice, and community pride. Your plan should include a method of determining who the customer is, what the customer wants, how the hospital will meet those needs and desires, how you will measure customer satisfaction, and the data capture modalities you will use, such as qualitative or quantitative methods to obtain the information. Also, how you will communicate the results of this new program to the world.

Create a PowerPoint presentation at least 10 slides in length that discusses your planned proposal. Each process should be outlined in 2–4 slides. Include detailed speaker’s notes that describe your program, which should include your answers to the questions below. Be sure to include references and citations from at least five sources. Your PowerPoint presentation needs to be visually appealing, to catch your audience’s attention, as your goal is to promote your program to the health care organization groups and people attending.

  1. Outline the current customer experience efforts and how these efforts could be improved with an organized effort.
  2. Explain how Affordable Care Act provides financial incentives in the form of performance-based bonuses or penalties based on the efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction with hospital services.
  3. Thoroughly analyze how your new systems approach for the hospital will satisfy all stakeholders and how we will improve results, measure success, and communicate the results to the world? Provide a step-by-step plan for implementation of your proposal.
  4. Describe how the new systems approach for the hospital will meet the patient’s needs, priorities and expectations in a manner that exemplifies the values of respect, compassion, justice, and community pride in the hospital.
